mis-seeing has lead to some fun pictures. this is one of them. this pig on a rocket ship is based on leaves of a plant that i saw without my glasses on. pen on paper with dry pastel coloration.
Portrait of daughter in oil paint. Worked from a photograph as children move too much. Started with an underpainting in burnt sienna.
Next session I added other colors to bring the blood into her face. The third session was devoted to intensifying the shadows and fixing her eyes- which were applied at the wring angle initially. More work needs to be done on making her less pale, tightening the shirt and doing other detail work.
