Two canvases with the same image. The first one came out bad (not shown). Will try to tweak it or try on the second one.
Started a new painting last week. Oil on canvas. Back to layering with a limited palette. This is the second layer (day) of work. Not sure where it will end up yet.
Recently I've been getting more work framed. Some of it I haven't looked at since I made it - like this geisha picture. Now I just need to look into venues...

Portrait of daughter in oil paint. Worked from a photograph as children move too much. Started with an underpainting in burnt sienna.
Next session I added other colors to bring the blood into her face. The third session was devoted to intensifying the shadows and fixing her eyes- which were applied at the wring angle initially. More work needs to be done on making her less pale, tightening the shirt and doing other detail work.
