COLLAGES
Faces are fragmented and images are spliced to reflect the different faces we show to different people. These collages are all handmade using paper. I am not opposed to digital collage, but prefer to spend less time on a screen.
“Vinyl” is a smaller piece, measuring 13” x 16” (matted and framed). The paper lifts off the piece at points allowing shadow and texture. The color play and multidirectional line was the focus of this piece; and, of course, music. It was shown in 2024 at the Abstract Exhibition show at Covet Art Gallery in Oceanside, CA.

“Architecture” is a larger piece (19” x 24”) focusing on a building in a landscape- how it interacts with the earth, the sky and the inhabitants inside and around it. The house is not linear. The interiors and exteriors fluctuate and the chimney sends out a cloud of smoke into the cloudy sky.
This piece was shown at InLiquid Gallery in Philadelphia in 2023.It is available to buy through InLiquid on Artsy.net. |
